The Work And The Glory: American Zion (2005)

There have been many films that have been made that deal with religious intolerance. Many have dealt with Christianity, Catholicism or Judaism. The Work And The Glory: American Zion deals with the little known (compared to Christianity, of course) Mormon faith, and how the Mormon people, led by Joseph Smith (Jonathan Scarfe, Into The West, The L-Word) on a quest to find their holy land of Zion, traveled across the country to settle in peace, only to find hostility and anger at every turn.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween to everyone reading this today! I hope your halloween is full of fun and candy and totally free from stress. Mine’s not. Oh well. I had a midterm this morning that I think I nailed (knock on wood), a midterm tomorrow that ought to be easy (open book, open note), and a research

Best Buy To Sell Xbox 360 Games Before Official Launch Date?

Every person that calls himself or herself a gamer knows that the Xbox 360, Microsoft’s next generation console, is officially launching in North America on Tuesday, November 22. Poor Europe and Japan won’t see their launches until Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 10, respectively. The North American launch will be media frenzy, but Microsoft might have a solution to both build the Xbox anticipation and lessen the armloads of young children eager to play on launch day. Sell the software early and let the people just buy the hardware.

Why is Ted so stupid?

This is a subject of much intellectual debate. However, a new piece of evidence has come to light which may lean the scales very close to the “he just is” party. So, I’m all happy because my research has been going pretty well. Many new tangents have opened up. Lots of interesting implications. And by interesting

Flock 0.5 Beta

I’ve just downloaded Flock, a new web browser, and it’s awesome. I’m testing its in-browser blogging feature. I’m pretty amazed. Let’s see if this works. At a 0.5 Beta, this is pretty neat, although some features like Flickr don’t work as well.
