I recently watched this British indie film called Cashback and for the most part I enjoyed it. It was nominated for an Oscar for best short film in 2004, and was then made into a feature-length last year. It’s one of those coming-of-age comedies that also tries to be something more.
There’s a lot of Terrance Malick-esque scenes. I must say that it works better as a short film, and I also must say that Emilia Fox is gorgeous. She was also in The Pianist if you need another film to remember her from.
Here are some stills from Cashback. Isn’t she lovely?
Yes. That last picture is awesome. For all you hopeless romantics out there, do yourself a favor and watch Cashback. There was this one scene that’s pretty laugh-out funny involving one dude displaying his martial arts skills. Hah.
