Sam Cooke is one of the most influential and most beloved R&B/soul singer songwriters in music history. Sam had 29 Top 40 pop chart hits including “Chain Gang,” “Another Saturday Night” and “You Send Me.” His music is timeless and recognized worldwide. Sam was inducted as a charter member to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.

The best thing that I can say looking back to my five day Thanksgiving vacation is that I temporarily got rid of the bags under my eyes. I feel like a whole new person. Although that will change tomorrow when I’m sitting bored in my classes.

Dammit. My housemates are all gone. I lit a fire in the fireplace, turned off all the lights and put a CD into tiger’s dvd player (IE poor man’s home theater system) and it sounds pretty damn good. And a cup of wine in hand. If I had a girlfriend, I’d have gotten laid tonight. [...]
