Took a very long drive to LA. Although to Ted’s credit, the ride wasn’t that bad considering how much I hate long drives. Had a terrible night’s sleep. Hopefully tonight will be better.
Trip to Middletown, CA was a complete disaster, well, not complete. The ride was nice. Trees are nice. Yes. The town was desolate and Lake County wasn’t better. We probably should have just hung at around Lake Berryessa.
The music world has been clamoring for someone to replace Elliott Smith after his tragic death in 2003. Joshua Radin seems ready to take the folk pop rock reins with his first full-length album We Were Here. Although no one can really replace Elliott Smith, Joshua does a pretty good job filling his shoes.
The most striking thing about The Blood Brothers is that the band features two lead vocals, Jordan Blilie and Johnny Whitney. This isn’t such a unique concept with bands and groups like Linkin Park and Outkast having already been there and done that. But for the metal and hardcore genre, having dual vocals creates a huge disconnect in songs where both share singing duties.
I spent a few hours last night trying to work on Dorks And Losers version 3.0, but there were so many kinks in it that I wasn’t satisfied with it. Fast forward to now and I think I got it to where I’m fine with it, but not quite. Hence the beta tag.
