These are some WTA play­ers to watch for at the 2008 French Open. ESPN.com had some­thing like this up, which I can’t find the link to. That arti­cle had more in-depth ten­nis cov­er­age, while mine just has mostly pic­tures. Please note, some have (to our regret) have already been knocked out of the Grand Slam as of this posting.

Anna Chakvetadze Vs. Maria Sharapova

Dur­ing the Sony Eric­s­son Cham­pi­onships at Madrid, Spain, the amaz­ingly beau­ti­ful Russ­ian Anna Chakve­tadze faced the very pretty Russ­ian Maria Shara­pova in one of the semi­fi­nal matches. I must say that both ladies have been smooth legs. It should’ve been a realy good match with Chakve­tadze hav­ing played very well the last few months and Shara­pova being a two-time Grand Slam winner.
