Rob Neyer Says David Wright Should Have Been NL MVP

In Sep­tem­ber he bat­ted .352. From Aug. 2 through the end of the sea­son, he bat­ted .377 and scored 48 runs in 54 games. The Mets lost 12 of their last 17 to blow the divi­sion race (with a lit­tle help from the Phillies). In those 17 games, Wright bat­ted .397 and col­lected at least one hit in every game.
