My favorite DVD website organizer DVDSpot has been sold. It’s been a week since I last logged onto the site. I just finished watching The Fountain and I wanted to input it into my recently viewed. But sadly, I got an error page.

I googled “dvdspot” and I got this webpage that redirected me back to the dvdspot.com page and the error page. I clicked on the cached link and I got this.

CNET bought DVDSpot. (Pardon the small screenshots)

Kind of a weird connection, but I guess it kind of makes sense since CNET is a technology media company, but it would have made even more sense if DVDTalk or another DVD website bought it instead.

Hopefully in a few hours, I will be able to update my account. Hopefully it also looks better than before. Maybe a look more closer to a Web 2.0 website.

I looked this morning and DVDSpot was up and running as if nothing had happened. No sign of anything with CNET on it.

My job searching seems to have ended. After what was a disastrous interview on Friday, my outlook looked bleak. I drowned my sorrow in alcohol and took in bed early.

Zip to Monday. Today. I took a look over at Craigslist and Careerbuilder for job postings. Saw none that I liked and pondered whether to make myself a mojito at 10 AM in the morning. A phone call.

I was offered the computer specialist position that I interviewed on Friday for. Wow. I don’t think I bombed that interview. I know I bombed it. Was I the only one that applied for it? Could be.

I’m happier. Now I gotta sign a mile-high stack of employee forms.

Berkeley Votes To Impeach President Bush

It is probably the most liberal (proportionally) city in the entire country. Yes, it is my hometown of Berkeley, California. The city that I think people go to in order to find an excuse to be politically active. There’s not a day go by that I don’t see a protest or at least one person holding up a sign that sums up his or her belief. But the city that I love has found another reason to be in the news: “Berkeley plans to give voters a say on a measure calling for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.”

Another waste of time, and another waste of minutes of talking about it. The only reason that I bring this up is that the Yahoo! news article that I read has an interesting statistic about the number of people who voted for George W. Bush in the 2004 presidential election. It turns out that I was one of 4,010 people who voted for G.W. while 54,409 other Berkeley residents voted for the other guy. Funny.

I have reached a personal milestone that is more important than Rlyconfused turning 21 this past weekend or me graduating soon. No no. This is way more important. Today, I bought my 800th DVD. It was Wonderfalls: The Complete Series. It will probably stay in its plastic wrap for a few months, but I will watch it… eventually.

When I hit 1,000 I’ll throw a party to which all are invited!

I’m soooo sleeeeepy. And pretty bored, I must say. Class doesn’t start for another hour and I didn’t bring anything to school to work on. All I can do to stay awake is go online. BUT THERE IS NOTHING TO DO ONLINE.

I’ve checked every email account I have, I’ve gone to facebook, I checked my bank account balance, I wrote a couple of emails… now what? I don’t have enough money to shop… my eyes are too droppy to read the news… I don’t get it Tan the Man and rlyconfused… what do you guys do during your endless hours online? Is there really that much porn out on the web?

Seriously, what is there to do on the net? I like to find recipes at foodnetwork.com but that can only be done for so long until I get bored or hungry… Yahoo? Games? Research? What?

What do you guys really like to do online?
