This wouldn’t be a reli­able indi­ca­tor of indie suc­cess, but El Perro Del Mar‘s third LP Love Is Not Pop was reviewed in The Modesto Bee on 12 Novem­ber 2009.

Sure, the Bee sim­ply reprinted a review from The Philadel­phia Inquirer, but it’s a start for the very good Swedish singer-songwriter to be fea­tured in the San Joaquin Val­ley city.
