Anna Chakve­tadze defeated Yan Zi 6–1 6–2 dur­ing her match which helped lead Rus­sia over China in the first round of the 2009 Fed Cup.

Hope­fully Chakve­tadze can keep up this momen­tum for the Mas­ters Series and the three remain­ing Grand Slam tour­na­ments after her recent dis­ap­point­ing Aus­tralian Open run.
