I Hate FOBs
So I’m standing outside of the door to my advisor. I’ve been waiting there for about five minutes. This Asian girl stands behind me. A few minutes later she asks me if I was waiting for the advisor. I say ‘yes.’ I glance over at one of the flyers on the wall and by the time I turn back she had already began talking to the advisor. I was like ‘what the hell.’ I wait another five minutes when this Asian girl finishes. I stare her down. I was this close to telling her how rude she was. GRRRR.
Mafia Pees
Out of four bedrooms in the house, Mafia has now peed in two of them — Will’s and rlyconfused’s. He’s never coming in my room, and I’m sure BEG and davistiger won’t let them into their’s now that Sheila (their new bird) is with us. I hate cats. Check plus for the dog world.
One More Day Of Vacation
I came back to Davis today after a much deserved weeklong vacation. Although having surgery took some out of my relaxation plans, I still got lots of rest. My surgery — a gum graft — went well. To my surprise I wasn’t in that much pain. The dentist today took off the bandage and I finally got a look at it. My gums look better, but I wish he could have done more to cover the exposed enamel. Oh well. It turns out my boss had the same surgery last Friday. She’s not feeling well. I wish her the best.

Fans of Scottish indie band Belle & Sebastian know Isobel Campbell well. Playing cello and singing backup vocals, Isobel was a member of the band for seven years before departing to do other projects including albums with the band The Gentle Waves and solo work, including her 2003 album Amorino.
Did You Know Snails Can Be Left-Handed?
